Weekend Frames 0001, Oceanside, CA, June 28, 2025 : Independence Parade
I'm starting a personal project called “Weekend Frames”—a photo series I’ll release each Monday, or whenever my “weekend” happens to end. The main goal is simple: to give myself a reason to pick up my camera and stay creative.
It’s easy to leave the camera at home, especially when photography is your job. But for that very reason, it’s even more important to keep shooting outside of work—to remind myself why I started and to stay sharp creatively. This series is a way to hold myself accountable, to make sure I’m bringing the camera with me out and about.
As for the format, that’s still evolving. It might be a collection of weekend highlights, or sometimes a more focused set of images. I’m leaving room for it to grow and take shape naturally.
The first set comes from a parade I stumbled upon in Oceanside, CA—a pre–Fourth of July celebration that marched along the iconic Pacific Coast Highway. Here’s a glimpse of an Americana Saturday afternoon.
If your organization has a need for photo or video, please feel free to reach out. Happy to discuss! thanks!
